Conference: "Purifying wastewater while generating electricity via eco-electro-constructed wetland" Noviembre 7, 18:00 h (UTC -6) Prof./Dr. Yaqian Zhao is a Fellow member of IWA (Int. Wat. Assoc.) and Distinguished Professor in the Department of Municipal and Environmental Engineering, Xi’an University of Technology, China, since Jan. 2019 while he was a faculty member in University College Dublin, Ireland, from 2004 to 2018. He completed Ph.D. at University of Strathclyde in Scotland and Postdoc at Queen’s University of Belfast in Northern Ireland. His research interests are among the areas of constructed wetlands, nutrients removal, sludge conditioning, dewatering and beneficial reuses. He is an active researcher in international level and a world leading expert of constructed wetland for wastewater treatment. He is one of the founder members of “Waste and Biomass Valorization” (Springer) and served as associate editor or editorial board members of 9 international journals. He has published over 400 research papers while delivering near 100 talks in various international conferences. In 2021, he received the “Shamrock Environmental Awards” in Ireland. He is among the top 100,000 world scientists (all subjects) ranked 39,558 (http://www.globalauthorid.com/), while he is ranked in 5th in Environmental Science and 15th in Engineering and Technology in Irish Top Scientists in 2022 (http://www.research.com). |
